I'm Andy, Your New Best Friend

The picture above is from a couple of years and a few haircuts ago when we celebrated The LOT Project’s 10 Year Anniversary. It truly was a miracle that we made it for 10 years. Earlier that year, I was awarded Executive Director of the Year through the Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce. I was working with them to build the City's first tiny home in an under-served part of the community where a new house hadn’t been built in over 50 years. I was surrounded by an amazing team.  Things were rolling, and we were impacting people in the community in new ways. It was a beautiful thing!

After more than a decade of leadership at this awesome organization, I stepped down out of the realization that I had burned out and was no longer able to lead the organization in the way it needed me to.

Since then, my wife and I have been lucky enough to travel the world, visiting different places and experiencing various cultures. We've explored public markets in 8 countries, heard a lion roar in the wild, gone on a 600 kilometer motorcycle ride through northern Vietnam, and lots more. We currently live in South Africa near my wife's family. We love hosting guests in our home and having them eat, drink, and talk!

Out of this journey came A Leader's Best Friend. It was born from the understanding that I'll never judge another person based on their worst or even their best moment.
