How Is Jesus Different From the World & Religion?

The World and Religion have something in common, and it's that you're never good enough.

Perfection is always just out of reach. Do you ever hear the world saying when are you smart enough? Strong enough? Good-looking enough? Fast enough? Rich enough? If you have $100,000, you want $1M, and after that, it's $5M. It’s a moving standard.

No matter how much you try and how much effort you put in, you will never arrive. Religion works the same way. No matter how many times you pray, or how much you read your holy texts, there's always this thought that you'll never arrive at perfection.

This is where Jesus is different. His crucifixion wasn’t a cosmic transaction that paid a bloodthirsty God for sin. It was a revelation of the perfection that God created in you. He revealed that your perfection, worth, and value were held totally outside of your behavior, and He believed in you so much that He gave His life to prove it.

He released forgiveness so that we may see our own perfection in Christ Jesus.
